When many people think of yoga, they imagine twisting their body like a pretzel and holding really strange named poses for long periods of time. The reality though is that there are several different types yoga classes available in the Yoga market today. Hot Yoga, Hot Power Yoga, Cardio Yoga, Rolling Ball Yoga, Yoga Meditation, and Sculpting Yoga are some of the variations that I have experienced. Somehow, I always seem to fall back into Yoga Meditation. It’s my favorite because it is about quieting a busy mind and creating that mind-body connection that yoga is truly known for.
Let’s talk about some benefits of yoga….If you’re already passionate about yoga and frequently practicing, then you’ve likely noticed some great health benefits. If you’re a newbie and looking for reasons to start yoga then allow us to motivate you to get started! Yoga improves flexibility, protects your spine, improves energy, relaxes and calms, increases blood flow, boost immunity, prefects posture, increases self-esteem, and helps you sleep deeper. The list of benefits could go on!
I firmly believe that no yoga is bad yoga, different types have their specific benefits and are worth trying in my book. I recently had the opportunity to enjoy a unique yoga experience for the first time. Beach Yoga is a great option available for those who live in coastal areas. Whether you’re a beginner to yoga or if you’ve been taking yoga classes for a while, I highly recommend that you check out a beach yoga class with Caryn Gallager, Owner/Yoga Instructor of CC Yoga in Southwest Florida or look up one in your area. Check out my experience and share your thoughts.
