Let’s Talk Wine! I had the pleasure of covering the 22nd Annual Las Olas Wine & Food Festival held in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on Las Olas Boulevard. The festival sponsored by Breakthru Beverages, William Hill Winery, New Amsterdam, and Woodford Reserve. This was my second time attending Las Olas Wine & Food Festival and this time I decided to maximize my wine experience, how could I not when I am surrounded by over 35 wineries. CAN SOMEONE SAY WINE HEAVEN!
First wine stop, William Hill Chardonnay, a Napa Valley classic. Such a refreshing taste, medium bodied, with little taste of oak. My first William Hill experience, hoping to visit the estate one day (dreams come true lol).
Second wine stop, Domaine Serene. My favorite was the Pinot Noir, Yamhill Cuvee. Haven’t tasted a Pinot Noir this smooth in a very long time. Another Estate I hope to visit very soon.
In between wine stops, I enjoyed several sips of Rose wine. While these Rose wines may look similar in terms of color, they are a world apart. Posted a few of my favorites above.
A final favorite wine stops was the Sonoma-Cutrer 2014 Pinot Noir and 2015 Chardonnay. The Pinot Noir, another medium bodied texture yet silky. The Chardonnay, a luscious mouth feel of crisp notes.
Be sure to jot down these favorites and try them yourself. Life is too short to not drink goooood wine!
