Established in 1996, Another Broken Egg isn’t your typical breakfast, brunch and lunch place. The menu is loaded with fresh ingredients, creative recipes, memorable brunch dishes and the classic brunch cocktails.
So how did I learn about this cafe -Another Broken Egg? My dear friend Hussain Shamseddine invited me to a fun filled morning of Pilates and an invite only brunch with our mutual friend Sarah Jane.
What’s my review? Another Broken Egg will be popular in my book in SWFL like many of their locations. The menu has something for any Sunday brunch palette. From southern inspired dishes like shrimp and grits to the creative omelet like lobster and brie!
After a powerful Pilates workout we were ready to dive in! We deiced to start with a classic Mimosa, the Blackberry Grits (Warm berries and southern grits), and Fried Green Tomatoes which was my favorite of the two. Lightly fried, a jumbo lump crab cake on a bed of fresh spinach, topped with goat cheese, red peppers and creole remoulade sauce. Sooooooo good!!
Let me start by saying this alone filled me up quick. But we had to keep going! Next on the must try was the Lobster and Brie Omelette. A cream cheese filled omelette with Brie and sautéed lobster meat, topped with a light champagne butter sauce, diced tomatoes and green onions. This omelette was heaven in my mouth, perfectly paired with a spicy Bloody Mary!
After our meal I had to meet and compliment the chef. Another Broken Egg is definitely a place you should add to your brunch list, and keep in mind there is a bar! 😉 So get your girlfriends together for girl talk, your family for a yummy Sunday brunch or all of your peeps for flavorful eats! Another Broken Egg is not just your usual cafe, try it and let us know how you liked or loved it!
