Gym Phobia is essentially the fear of going to the gym and working out in front of others. But for some us there’s no deep rooted identifiers, so making a few changes can truly aid in getting rid of gym phobia.

Take a tour, speak with head trainers, get to know certain workout machines that will help reach your health or fitness goals.
Wear something you feel comfortable yet fashionable in. If you don’t feel comfortable in a cut-off shirt, sleeveless shirts or short gym shorts then don’t wear it. Wearing the wrong gym clothes is one of the biggest contributors to gym phobia. Bottom line you should be 200% comfortable and confident in the clothes that you work out in, so go ahead and treat yourself to new gym gear.
Don’t compare yourself to other women. Studies show one of the key developers of gym phobia in women is body comparison to celebrities or women around them. So the next time you are in the gym getting your fat burn on, stay focused and don’t compare yourself to the chick beside you, in front of you or behind you.
Join a group training class. The major advantage to joining group training classes is the social advantage. You meet other gym mates reaching for the same goal you are reaching for, plus the competitive camaraderie found in an exercise class really calms that gym phobia anxiety.

If you really want to get serious about your workout and overcoming gym phobia try planing your workouts. Setting a clear objective gets you so motivated and gets you feeling ultra confident when going to the gym.
