It’s Miami Swim Week and this time around I chose to live it up true Miami Beach style. I booked a fabulous room with The Miami Beach Edition, which was recommended by a Naples friend of mine. As soon as I walked in I couldn’t help but to pause to take it all in before checking in. Loved the tropical greenery, luxury white modern decor, marble columns…are we at The Miami Beach Edition or somewhere on a remote island?! To complete the full check-in experience I would have loved either a glass of champagne, prosecco, or a classic mojito. Rates at The Miami Beach Edition start at $429 a night for a Standard King Room, and top out at a whopper rate of $10,000 a night for the Bungalow Penthouse.
As soon as I walked in my senses were also hypnotized by a sensual scent. Thinking outloud sparked a quick conversation with the doorman.
Me: What is that smell?
Doorman: A perfume scent called Le Labo, made EXCLUSIVE for the Edition hotel. It’s also in our bathroom amenities with the same custom-made scent.
Me: 😯 Ohhhhh I can’t wait to get my hands on it. Their lotions, shampoos, conditioners, and bath salts all smelled oh so Tahitian good. I packed perfume, but because I just couldn’t get enough of this Miami Beach Edition scent that I barely used my own perfume. So yes I walked around for days smelling like the hotel LOL!
During my five day stay I luxuriated all through the hotel enjoying room service, wine by the pool, champagne on the beach, brunch, and being close to all of the Miami Swim Week shows that I had to cover. It was on my last day when I realized that I haven’t taken any photos to share. Here’s my short visual of some photos. I like to call this visual series- girl talk and cocktails!
Oh look! Another typical everyday beach day at The Miami Beach Edition. This was my first time ever wearing a caftan, and the whole time I couldn’t help but to think to myself why has it taken me so long to get my hands on a caftan. You too can get this get the look of my stripe kimono caftan by ViX Paula Hermanny. It’s 100% cotton, light, breathable, and a perfect luxury cover up piece. I rocked it in my caftan with my signature beach Impanema sandals, Gucci shades, and underneath my Casablanca Halterneck Swimsuit that I purchased at the spa boutique because I totally forgot to pack swimwear.
Onto the Tropicale for girl talk and cocktails with a girlfriend that popped into Miami Beach from Naples, FL. We had a quick bite and a couple of cocktails. Afterwards, we sashayed our tipsy cute selves over to the pool to lounge for more girl talk but this time with a bottle of sauvignon blanc.
Overall, my stay at The Miami Beach Edition was relaxing and rejuvenating. Waking up every morning to a breathtaking ocean view, the constant soothing sounds of the ocean waves, the service, the staff, and the signature restaurants. I totally recommend if getting ocean view when staying at The Miami Beach Edition. You won’t be sorry! I sure wasn’t!
There’s more to come on a few full recaps of the shows I covered during Miami Swim Week. Stay tune and look out for new blog posts on the fashion tab. Remember, sharing is caring. We appreciate the support!
