Whether you’re trying to save money or you’re too busy to make an extra stop at the nail salon for a manicure, there’s a lot to love about an at home manicure. I know…doing your own manicure doesn’t always guarantee that fresh salon look but drug stores are packed with new must try home kits. It’s hard to resist! I’ve tried them all and I like them all! Try these quick tips before sticking, gluing, or painting anything on.
Nails: The key to any good manicure is to first clip the nails, if necessary. Then file gently into your desires shape. Finally, buff the tops and sides of your nails lightly with a nail buffer to create a smooth surface.
Cuticles: Prep cuticles with cuticle remover to help dissolve dead skin and soften the area. Then push back gently with a cuticle stick. Your cuticles protect your nails from bacteria and keep them soft, so avoid cutting them.
Hands: No point in having a good at home manicure if your hands are rough. Exfoliate hands, wash, and dry them thoroughly.
Once your ready start your at home manicure, follow the steps in your kit box and have fun!
